Dhading. Seven vehicles met with an accident at Dhunibesi-6 in Dhading along the Prithvi Highway this morning.

Four school buses, two trucks and a motorcycle were also involved in the accident. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Prakash Dahal of District Police Office, Dhading, the accident took place when the truck with Indian number plate hit other vehicles after brakes failed.

Police and locals are carrying out rescue operation. Vehicular movement has been disrupted following the accident.

According to journalist Ashish Thakuri, who was at the accident site, most of the passengers on the two buses were injured. The injured have been rescued and sent to nearby health posts and Kathmandu while police are trying to clear the road by removing the vehicles that met with the accident.
