Kathmandu. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has concluded that the construction cost of Pokhara International Airport was Rs 8.36 billion.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Sunday filed a corruption case naming 55 persons as defendants in the case filed at the Special Court. The CIAA has demanded Rs 8.36 billion from all the defendants as per the estimated cost estimate.

Former Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ram Kumar Shrestha, former ministers Bhim Prasad Acharya and Dipak Chandra Amatya have been implicated in the construction of Pokhara Airport. The court has named 55 people including Ram Sharan Mahat as defendants.
