Kathmandu. Hitendra Shakya said that it was a victory of justice after reinstating the Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) by the Supreme Court. He said that the judiciary has given relief to those who were hurt by the government’s decision.

“I am relieved by the court’s decision,” said Shakya. He reiterated his commitment to work in the interest of the country, people and NEA as per his capacity and ability.

A division bench of Justices Nahakul Subedi and Shrikanta Poudel issued the order in favour of Shakya. The government had transferred Shakya to the Water and Energy Commission on September 20 and appointed Manoj Silwal. Shakya had filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court against the government’s decision.
