Kathmandu. Sugarcane farmers are facing more problems due to the decision taken by this government. A meeting of the Council of Ministers on Monday fixed the support price of sugarcane at Rs 620.

The government has reduced the price of sugarcane by Rs 35 compared to the previous government. Last year, the government had fixed the price of sugarcane at Rs 655 per quintal.

The government, which was formed on the foundation of the Jenji movement, has reduced the price of sugarcane by Rs 35 per quintal. The government had fixed the support price of sugarcane at Rs 635 in the FY 2080/81, Rs 610 in the FY 2079/80 and Rs 590 in the FY 2078/79.
