Kathmandu. A 10-point agreement has been signed between the Government of Nepal and Genji representatives. Prime Minister Sushila Karki and Bhoj Bikram Thapa signed the agreement on behalf of the martyred and injured representatives of the Genji movement at a function held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar this evening.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Sushila Karki expressed her confidence that the agreement reached between the government and representatives of the Genji generation would stand as a milestone to change the agreement. He said that the current agreement will guide tomorrow’s changes.
“It will guide the drafting of the constitution. It will try to prevent bloodshed and disasters in the future. We are on the same side. Jenji is my child. We all have the same idea that youth power should take power. Let the state run according to their views. We want to see the future of our children. ”
The book incorporates the essence and sentiment of the movement of September 7 and 24, the issues of good governance raised by the Genji generation, constitution amendment, electoral system reforms, among others.
