Kathmandu. Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Hitendra Dev Shakya, has said that the government will work to complete the goal for the next three and a half years.
He said this while assuming office at the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) following the Supreme Court’s mandamus. Shakya said that he and Energy Minister Kulman Ghising understand the power sector well and will work together.
“I will work on my programs with more zeal and dedication than before. I will move ahead considering the rights and interests of the Authority as paramount as per the policies and directives of the government. Even if there were some shortcomings in the past, we will not allow it to happen,” he said. The Energy Minister and I are both cadres of the NEA. We understand this area one by one. They have had experiences since childhood. ’
He said that he expects the Energy Minister to fully support him even now.
He also said that the Nepal Electricity Authority should have its own projects. He pledged to pursue his programmes with more zeal and dedication than before. He also said that the NRA will move ahead considering its rights and interests as paramount as per the policy and directives of the government.
