Kathmandu. The accident took place near UN Park in Lalitpur at around 4:00 pm today.

The deceased has been identified as Rajiv Sinha, 45, of Gaur of Rautahat district, according to Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office Spokesperson, Superintendent of Police Naresh Raj Subedi.

Critically injured scooter rider Sinha succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Norvic Hospital.

A private van (Ba Pra 01-029 Cha 3896) coming from Kupandole, a car (Ba Pra 01-022 Cha 0061), a car (Ba 2 Ja 4760) and a van (Ba 01-029) coming from the opposite direction also collided with the scooter. Further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
