Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) is celebrating its 60th anniversary on January 15, 2082 in Kathmandu. The occasion will discuss the success, possibilities and challenges made in the tourism and hotel sector from the past till now. On the occasion of the establishment day of the association, the felicitation day which has been celebrated for the last 2 years will also be celebrated.

On the occasion, a two-day Hotel Expo-2026 would be organized on January 15 and 17. According to Hotel Association of Nepal, there will be more than 50 stalls in the expo and various companies will also sponsor the event.

Organized on the theme of ‘Tech-Powered Hospitality’, renowned national and international speakers will learn about the best practices in the hospitality industry and encourage the implementation of automation in hotels, technology-friendly business operations and service delivery with AI.

Similarly, Nepal Hotel Year Book 2026 along with a food book featuring 60 different types of indigenous dishes from all seven provinces will be made public.

During the program, discussions will be held on the contribution of hotel and tourism industry to the country’s economy and the employment created through this industry. In our country, which has a huge potential for tourism, the rapid opening of new big hotels across the country in recent times has given it a big boost. The attraction of international chain hotels has further highlighted this. This program will not only help to promote tourism in some destinations but also in all seven provinces.

On the occasion, distinguished personalities will be honoured for their significant contribution to the hotel and tourism sector, according to a press release issued by the association. The association has already appealed to various organizations to make this program a success.
