Kathmandu. The CPN (UML) central committee meeting held before the commencement of the closed session of the party’s 11th National General Convention has decided to make the central committee of the 10th general convention a 301-member party.

Chairman KP Sharma Oli informed the meeting about the decision. Although senior vice-president Ishwor Pokhrel and others have demanded not to run the issues endorsed by the general convention, a majority has decided to bring it as per the 10th general convention.

In the beginning of the meeting, party chairman KP Sharma Oli said the presence of party cadres in the inaugural ceremony of the general convention proved the relevance of the political parties in the country.

In the meeting, General Secretary Shankar Pokharel presented the election schedule, election code of conduct and other contemporary issues.
