Kathmandu. The stock market fell on Sunday, the first trading day of the week. On Sunday, the NEPSE index decreased by 12.50 points to close at 2,594.87 points.
On Sunday, the sensitive index fell 0.79 points, while the float index fell 0.77 points and the sensitive float index decreased 0.30 points.
Although the stock market has fallen, the trading volume has increased on this day. Shares worth Rs 3.49 billion were traded in the market on the previous trading day, which was Rs 4.74 billion.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of two sub-groups have increased while the indices of 11 sub-groups have decreased. The banking and mutual fund sub-group indices increased marginally on the day. The indices of hydropower, hotel and tourism and life insurance sub-indices fell by 1 percent on the day.
