. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has revised the provision of accepting the collateral of borrowers by the bank itself. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has issued a circular on Monday to allow banks to accept only the unsold assets even after auctioning their securities up to 3 times.
Earlier, after two auctions, the bank itself could accept the collateral as a non-banking asset. Now, even after completing the mortgage auction process at least 3 times, the collateral has to be accepted only if the collateral is not sold.
