NEPSE index rises, transaction volume declines

Kathmandu. The stock market closed higher on Monday, the second trading day of the week. On Monday, the NEPSE index increased by 6.74 points to close at 2,601.61 points. Today, the sensitive index has increased by 2.01 points, while the float index has increased by 0.62 points and the sensitive index has increased by 0.78 points.

Although the stock market rose moderately on Monday, the volume of transactions decreased. Shares worth Rs 4 billion were traded in the market on Sunday, while shares worth Rs 3.44 billion were traded.

Today, the shares of two companies were traded at positive circuit levels. Shares of Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha and SY Panel Nepal were traded at a positive circuit level on the day. Today, the share price of Shwetganga Hydropower and Construction has increased by more than 8.5 percent. Shares of Himstar Energy Company were the biggest losers on the day, falling 6.95 percent.

Ngadi Group Power Ltd is in the top position on the basis of transaction amount. Today, the company’s shares worth Rs 14.25 crore have been traded. Today, Laxmi Sunrise Bank has crossed Rs 14 crore. Similarly, shares of Nepal SBI Bank worth Rs 13.5 crore were traded.

Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of eight sub-groups increased on the day. The indices of 5 sub-groups decreased. Today, the index of the finance sub-group has increased by about 1 percent. The indices of hotel and tourism, investment, microfinance, mutual fund and other sub-groups decreased.
