2 arrested for smearing soot on Jyoti Bikas Bank staffer, 4 absconding

. Police have arrested two persons on the charge of smearing soot on employees of Jyoti Bikas Bank. Police are searching for 4 more people on the charge of smearing soot on two employees of the bank, garlanding shoes, beating them and misbehaving indecently.

According to the District Police Office, Saptari, the two were arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by the bank’s staffers.TAG_OPEN_div_14 The Saptari District Court has remanded the two arrested in custody for five days for further investigation.

Employees of Saptakoshi Integrated Agro Farm Pvt Ltd at Odraha-based Saptakoshi Municipality-7 were mistreated on Wednesday when they reached the bank to inquire about the loan. The firm had taken a loan of Rs 4.5 crore.
