Let’s go to Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has honored the best taxpayers in the country.

On the occasion of National Tax Day 2082, the Confederation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CNI) felicitated high taxpayers on behalf of the Government of Nepal. On the occasion of the National Tax Day, the government honoured 16 individuals as high taxpayers. The Confederation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce (CNI) has honored these high taxpayers on behalf of the private sector.

On the occasion of the National Tax Day 2082, Dabur Nepal Pvt. Ltd., Unilever Nepal Ltd., Soaltee Hotel Ltd., Bhatbhateni Supermarket and Departmental Store Pvt. Ltd., among the special industries, Unilever Nepal Ltd., the highest income tax payer among the tourism business, Bhatbhateni Supermarket and Departmental Store Pvt. Ltd. The Confederation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CNI) has honoured Bhotekoshi Power Company Pvt. Ltd., which has paid the highest income tax among the energy industries.

Similarly, among the agriculture and livestock industries, Breeder Farm Pvt. Ltd. is the highest income tax payer, Verisk Nepal Pvt. Ltd. is the highest income tax payer among the information technology related service exporters, Third Eye International is the highest income tax payer among the sole firms, Nepal Investment Mega Bank Ltd. is the highest income tax payer among the banks and financial institutions. KATHMANDU: Nobel Medical College has been awarded the Confederation of Teaching Hospitals for paying the highest income tax among the health and educational institutions.

Similarly, among the entities, IME Limited is the highest income tax payer, Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) is the highest income tax payer, CDS & Clearing Ltd is the highest income tax payer among the taxpayers with annual turnover of more than Rs 50 crore and VF Clearing Ltd is the highest income tax payer among the taxpayers with annual turnover of up to Rs 50 crore. On the occasion, Managing Director of Jawalakhel Group of Industries Raj Bahadur Shah was felicitated by the Confederation of Nepalese Enterprises (NTE) for filing VAT statement and tax for the tax period from July 2019 to Ashad 2082. Shah is also the vice-president of the Confederation.

At a felicitation program held at CNI Secretariat on Tuesday, President of CNI Birendra Raj Pandey honored the best taxpayers. On the occasion, the Finance Minister said that becoming the best taxpayer was not only personal and institutional achievement but also an important contribution to the State. He said that the Confederation has also honored the contribution made to the state as a high taxpayer.
