Kathmandu. The government has collected only 78.74 per cent of the target of revenue till mid-December of the current fiscal year. The government has set a target to collect Rs 520.44 billion in revenue from the current fiscal year. However, only Rs 409.78 billion revenue was collected in November.
The government has set a target to collect Rs 1.48 trillion revenue in the current fiscal year. Revenue of Rs 94.05 billion has been collected from customs duty till mid-December of the current fiscal year.
Similarly, Rs 135.42 billion revenue has been collected from Value Added Tax (VAT). Excise duty of Rs 76.06 billion, education service fee and other Rs 2.21 billion and income tax of Rs 74.26 billion have been collected.
