Kathmandu. The government has decided to allow the Indian currency notes of Indian currency of 200 and 500 denominations to be imported into Nepal from India to the limit of Rs 25,000 per person from India to India with effect from November 9, 2016.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on December 29, according to government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel. According to him, the government has decided to remove the practice, practice or provision of pasting postal stamps as income stamps for authenticity of documents in the process of service delivery except as provided in the prevailing laws.
