Kathmandu. Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has concluded its first annual general meeting. Ritu Singh Vaidya presided over the AGM held on December 25. The assembly has analysed the major achievements and learnings since its inception and formally endorsed the programs, institutional structure and strategic plans for the coming year.
Addressing the gathering, President Vaidya said that in a short period of its establishment, Naima has been able to establish itself as an integrated and strong voice in the mobility sector of the country. Sharing the achievements of the past nine months, she further added that the successful organization of the first NAMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 has made the entire automobile sector a single place for all the automobile stakeholders to visit the exhibition and continuous learning sessions in the mobility sector.
During the program, Executive Director of NAI Raj Kumar Dulal presented the audited report, annual program and financial report for the fiscal year 2081÷82 and the program and financial plan for the coming year. He reiterated the Office’s commitment to effective action plan, transparency and responsible financial management to achieve the long-term goals.
Similarly, the meeting endorsed programs for 2082/83, which include regular mobility dialogues, capacity building trainings, sectoral studies and research, advocacy for policy debates, organization of NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026, among others. NAIMA is all set to organize NAIMA Expo 2026 at Bhrikutimandap from August 11 to 14, 2083.
As part of the institutional consolidation, the meeting has formed a Strategy and Membership Affairs Committee under the leadership of Akash Golchha and welcomed Megatech Group Limited as the new member and nominated Suresh Lohani as a member of the Research, Media and Data Committee.
The meeting pledged to continue the regular dialogue on the collective interest of the mobility sector, including potential and deserving brands. Concluding the meeting, President Vaidya thanked all the members and expressed commitment that Naima will continue to play an active role in the long-term development of Nepal’s mobility sector.
