Kathmandu. Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company has called its AGM today. The AGM has been called to approve the dividend announced to be distributed to the shareholders from the profit of the last financial year.

The insurance company has called its 8th and 9th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on January 8 at Amritbhog Caterers Pvt. Ltd., Kalikasthan, Kathmandu. The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m.

The AGM will endorse a special proposal of distributing 5 percent bonus shares and 15.2632 percent cash dividend for tax purposes. The meeting will also endorse the proposal to amend the Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association to give authority to the Board of Directors, approve the appointment of independent directors and appoint auditors.

The company is going to close its book on December 28 for the purpose of AGM and dividend distribution. As per the agreement, the shareholders who have been traded in NEPSE till December 27 will be able to participate in the AGM and receive the dividend to be distributed by the insurance company.
