Action taken against drivers of vehicles emitting excessive smoke

Kathmandu. The traffic police have taken action against drivers of 40 vehicles for emitting smoke beyond the standard standards.

A joint team of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office and the Department of Environment took action against the drivers of vehicles emitting smoke exceeding the standard in course of checking at Thankot today.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Naresh Raj Subedi, Spokesperson of the office, said that action was taken against drivers of 40 vehicles for emitting smoke beyond the standard while checking 60 vehicles.

The Traffic Police have urged all drivers to check the condition of the vehicles and drive only the vehicles in good condition as the risk of accidents may increase the risk of human health and increase the risk of pollution in the air pollution.
