Kathmandu. Chief Executive Officer of Investment Board Nepal (IBN) Sushil Gyewali said that it was necessary to connect Butwal÷Bhairahawa and Nepalgunj to make the capital of Lumbini Province economically vibrant.
Speaking at a review program of master plan of Lumbini Province capital in the presence of Lumbini Chief Minister, CEO Gyewali expressed the view that the effectiveness of the capital would increase by connecting the infrastructures, cities and border points of north-south, east-west.
Stating that there were many opportunities for investment in the capital of Lumbini Province, he expressed the belief that the investment of the private sector would increase if necessary infrastructures including water and transport were available.
On the occasion, Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chet Narayan Acharya, said that the roads connected to the capital would be developed in a systematic manner as soon as possible. He also urged them to help raise investment.
The participants of the program expressed the view that agriculture, investment, Rapti civilization, Swargadwari temple, health, education and daily life should be connected to the capital. They said that the master plan should be implemented by incorporating the suggestions.
A master plan for the capital of Lumbini Province has been prepared and is in the process of implementation. Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Urban Development, Joint Secretary of Investment Board, Vice Chairman of Lumbini Province Planning Commission, Chief Executive Officer of Lumbini Province Infrastructure Development Authority and experts were present on the occasion.
