Kathmandu. Walnut Bistro Restaurant in Panipokhari has come up with a winter offer targeting the daily and newcomers. The restaurant has announced a 25 percent discount on mutton, chicken and veg food under the ‘Happy Hour’ offer from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm every day.
Mutton meal will be available at Rs 562, chicken meal at Rs 487 and veg meal at Rs 449. Director Aakash Poudel said that mutton, chicken and veg food as well as other dishes are available in the restaurant. This offer has been going on in the restaurant for 4 years.
According to him, apart from happy hour, mutton meal is priced at Rs 749, chicken meal is priced at Rs 649 and veg meal is priced at Rs 599. “If you don’t like the taste, you can eat the food for free,” Poudel said. Similarly, the restaurant recently launched a new campaign called ‘Little Free Library’. Under this scheme, customers can pick up books for free and keep their own books.
This small but attractive library box near the restaurant’s entrance will house a wide variety of books, from literature, poetry, travelogues, biographies to children’s literature. The restaurant has been launched with the objective of promoting the culture of reading through book exchange as part of the campaign ‘Take One, Keep One’.
The goal is to give customers a knowledge experience that goes beyond food. “We want to be a place where people connect,” the restaurant said, “It’s our endeavor to create a place where people don’t just eat, but also places where ideas, stories and experiences are exchanged.” The restaurant already serves a variety of Nepali dishes (bage, chicken, mutton, fish or trout) using freshly produced locally sourced ingredients, taking ‘quality and balance’ as its food philosophy. This initiative of the library is expected to provide customers with a deeper experience through a blend of taste, culture and creativity.
