Goods worth Rs 40 billion exported from Birgunj, 89 percent more than last year

Persa. In the first five months of the current fiscal year, goods worth Rs 39.97 billion have been exported to foreign countries through Birgunj.

Compared to the first five months of the last fiscal year, exports amounted to Rs 18.79 billion, which is 89 percent or more than the same period last year.

In the first five months of the last fiscal year, goods worth Rs 21.18 billion were exported to foreign countries. Udaya Singh Bista, information officer at the Birgunj Customs Office, said that there has been a significant increase in exports through the border point in the first five months of the current fiscal year.

In the first five months of the current fiscal year, soybean oil worth Rs 20.76 billion has been exported. Similarly, fruit juice worth Rs 3.7 billion was exported.

Similarly, refined palm oil worth Rs 2.87 billion and palm oil worth Rs 1.97 billion were exported to the country. Similarly, various types of clothes worth Rs 1.50 billion were also exported.
