Gold imports rise by 8 kg, silver to over 6,000 kg

. The government has imported gold worth Rs 16.37 billion from various countries in the first five months of the current fiscal year. According to the data released by the Department of Customs, gold imports stood at Rs 13,77,47,000 compared to the same period last November. Gold worth Rs 16.23 billion was imported till mid-November.

Data released by the Department of Customs shows that although the import of gold has increased slightly, the import of silver has increased.TAG_OPEN_div_16 Nepal imported silver worth Rs 9.14 billion from various countries till mid-November. This is an increase of Rs 1.49 billion compared to mid-November. Silver worth Rs 7.64 billion was imported till mid-November.

The government has collected Rs 1.TAG_OPEN_div_14 63 billion in revenue by importing gold in the first five months of the current fiscal year. The government has collected Rs 914.41 crore in revenue from the import of silver till mid-December.

A total of 42,TAG_OPEN_div_12 347 kg of silver was imported till December. The import of silver has increased by 6,291 kg in the last one month. The country had imported 36,59.348 kg silver till mid-November.

Similarly, 944.TAG_OPEN_div_10 107 kg of gold was imported in the first five months of the current fiscal year. The import of gold has increased by 8 kg in a month. The country had imported 935.749 per cent gold till mid-November.
