Non-life insurance company has done business of Rs 19.5 billion in five months.

. In the first three months of the current fiscal year, non-life insurance companies have done insurance business worth Rs 19.5 billion. During the period, the companies sold 1,162,196 policies and collected Rs 19.48 billion in premiums, according to the Nepal Authority.

Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance (Salico) has earned the highest premium during this period.TAG_OPEN_div_30 The company has collected Rs 2.21 billion in insurance premiums from 107,920 policies. According to NEA, Shikhar Insurance has earned Rs 2.15 billion in insurance premiums while NLG Insurance has earned Rs 1.57 billion in insurance premiums till mid-December.

Himalayan Sagarmatha Insurance has collected Rs 2.7 billion in insurance premiums while Siddhartha Premier Insurance has collected Rs 1.86 billion in insurance premiums till mid-December.TAG_OPEN_div_28

According to NEA, Nepal Insurance Company has earned Rs 1.01 billion in insurance policy by selling 78,515 policies while The Oriental Insurance has earned Rs 1.11 billion in insurance premiums during the period.TAG_OPEN_div_26

Similarly, National Insurance has earned Rs 493 million while National Insurance has earned Rs 606.83 million and Neco Insurance has earned Rs 1.TAG_OPEN_div_24 43 billion.

According to NEA, Prabhu Insurance Ltd and Sanima GIC Ltd earned a business of Rs 79,TAG_OPEN_div_22 85,89,000 during the period.

As of mid-December, IGI Prudential has done business worth Rs 1.66 billion while United Ajod has done business of Rs 1.31 billion, according to the NEA data.TAG_OPEN_div_20

Similarly, in the same period, four micro-insurance companies under the non-life insurance company have made a business of Rs 49.5 crore.TAG_OPEN_div_18 During the period, the companies issued 1,79,511 policies and did business worth Rs 49,60,05,000.

During the period, Nepal Micro Insurance earned Rs 13.TAG_OPEN_div_16 03 crore, Protective Micro Insurance Rs 13.21 crore, Star Micro Insurance Rs 10.74 crore and Trust Micro Insurance Rs 12.60 crore.
