Humla. Two persons were injured in a fire that broke out at Rip village of Sarkegad rural municipality-2 in the district. Five houses were damaged in the fire, said local Bijay Phadera.
The fire started from the house of Laba Fadera last night. Laiba Federa and Bambu Phadera were injured in the fire. The injured have been airlifted to District Hospital, Simkot for treatment last night.
The houses of Laiba Fadera, Jayaram Fadera, Kranti Fadera, Ramesh Mahatara and Mohan Mahatara were damaged in the fire. Vijay Phadera, a local, said that the damage is yet to be ascertained.
He said that the fire was extinguished with the initiative of the locals. Police Inspector Bishnu Shrestha of District Police Office said that security personnel have been mobilized from Sarkegad police post after receiving information about the fire. “The fire has now been put out,” he said.
The injured are receiving treatment, said Dr Umakanta Tiwari, chief of the District Health Office.
