Kathmandu. In the first five months of the current fiscal year, the business of life insurance companies has increased. According to the data released by insurance companies, the business of life insurance companies has increased significantly compared to the same month last year.

Insurance companies have done a total business of Rs 76.90 billion in the current fiscal year. The company had a turnover of Rs 65.74 billion in the same period last year. Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) has been the top gainer in the first five months of the current fiscal year. Similarly, National Life Insurance Company is leading the company.

Nepal Life Insurance has earned Rs 21.37 billion in insurance premiums till mid-December of the current fiscal year. The company had collected Rs 18.76 billion in insurance premiums in the same period last year. Similarly, National Life Company has collected Rs 9.27 billion in insurance premiums till mid-December. The company had earned Rs 7.98 billion in insurance premiums in the same period last year.

Life Insurance Corporation (LIC Nepal) has collected Rs 8.18 billion in insurance premiums till mid-December 2018. Similarly, Himalayan Life Insurance collected Rs 6.92 billion in insurance premiums while Rastriya Life Insurance Company collected Rs 5.57 billion in insurance premiums.

Similarly, Nepal Life Insurance has collected Rs 1,11,19,2019 in insurance premiums, followed by Life Insurance of Rs 1.4 billion and Citizen Life Insurance Rs 1.11 billion.

Also, Gurans Life Insurance has collected Rs 2.19 billion in insurance premiums, Prabhu Life Insurance Rs 2.19 billion, Prabhu Life Insurance Rs 2.19 billion, Prabhu Life Insurance Rs 2.19 billion, Prabhu Life Insurance Rs 2.19 billion, and Sun Nepal Life Insurance Rs 1.11 billion.
