Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah today signed a 7-point agreement.

As per the agreement, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RSP) has decided to nominate Balen Shah as the prime ministerial candidate while Lamichhane will be the party’s president.

The agreement states that the youths will take ownership of the movement against corruption and misgovernance and commit to address the demands of the families of the injured and martyrs.

Likewise, the government will be devoted to the honest implementation of the roadmap to make Nepal a dignified middle-income nation within the next ten years on the foundation of socio-economic progress and cultured political practice through deep policy, institutional and structural reforms to be undertaken for the national objectives of prosperity and social justice.

The name of the political party to be formed after the broad unification between the first faction and the second faction will be ‘Rastriya Swatantra Party’, the flag of the party will be in the middle of the blue background, the shape of a blue bell in the middle of the white circle, the election symbol of the party will be the bell and the central office will be in the Kathmandu Valley.

Rastriya Swatantra Party’s central president Rabi Lamichhane will be in the committee while Balendra Sah will be the parliamentary party leader after the upcoming House of Representatives election.

In order to make the party’s organizational structure more capable and broad after the broader unification, the party will take competence, inclusivity and public image as the basis while assigning responsibilities to the youth activists and experienced experts.

According to the agreement, the document related to the Rastriya Swatantra Party will be updated with the Election Commission immediately after the upcoming general election.

The MoU states that it will call on other cultured and change-seeking alternative political forces, groups and individuals to advance the issues of democratic good governance, prosperity and social justice by uniting on the principles, leadership and election symbol of the Rastriya Swatantra Party.
