Kathmandu. The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection (DoM), which has been regularly monitoring and inspecting the market, has taken action against 17 industries and firms.

The department has slapped a fine of Rs 110,000 to three industries and firms. The department has imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each to Samjhana Pickle Industry and Rs 50,000 each to Aarohan Fashion Craft Pvt Ltd and Sadhana Suppliers.

The Department has taken action against the offender as per Section 15 Clause 38 D of the Consumer Protection Act, 2075 BS. Similarly, corrective directives have been given to 14 other industries÷firms. The department has been regularly monitoring the market to maintain cleanliness in the market and to control black marketing.
