Kathmandu. Nepal Police felicitated Akshay Golyan, Chairman and Managing Director of Golyan Group, for his support in the renovation and rehabilitation of police office following the Gen-G movement. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Bahadur Karki honoured Golyan amidst a programme organized by the District Police Range, Kathmandu on Sunday.
Nepal Police has been running the ‘Hamro Police’ campaign to make the Community-Police Partnership Program more effective in the context of ‘Following the New Generation Movement’ of September 7-24. To make this campaign a success, Golyan Group has provided assistance worth Rs. 2.1 million, 1 thousand 395 rupees for the restoration and rehabilitation of police offices.
Chairman Golyan said that the Nepal Police, which has the main responsibility of maintaining peace and order in the society and security of the people, has been provided support to support in times of crisis. “The Golyan Group has joined hands with the police to further strengthen the belief that the Nepal Police is a friend of the people at all times,” he said, adding, “Only a strong and capable police force with high morale can carry out its responsibility in a proper manner. He said that the Golyan Group will join hands with the Nepal Police in the coming days to ensure the safety of the general public and to maintain peace and order in the society.
Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-23 Macharaja Maharjan, Additional Inspector General of Police Om Prasad Adhikari, founding chairperson of Maiti Nepal Anuradha Koirala, Chief District Officer of Kathmandu Ishwar Raj Adhikari, President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Chandra Prasad Dhaka among others were present on the occasion.
