Kathmandu. Nepal Police has collected Rs 402.54 million in revenue in the first five months of the current fiscal year 2082/83.
According to the police, the revenue was collected in course of law enforcement and various actions.
According to Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Avi Narayan Kafle, the police collected Rs 17.95 crore from seizing illegal goods, Rs 123.73 million from the court verdict, Rs 71.5 million from traffic action and Rs 8.945 million from seizure of gold and silver.
Likewise, police confiscated Rs 6.44 million from hundi businessmen, Rs 85.09 million from those involved in illegal river extraction, Rs 2.76 lakh from illegal timber seizers, and Rs 702,000 from those involved in illegal livestock trade.
