Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) is organizing an all-party national dialogue on ‘Collaboration for Peace, Stability and Prosperity’ on Wednesday. The dialogue to be attended by Prime Minister Sushila Karki as the chief guest will be attended by major political parties, private sector, youth, civil society and media.

The dialogue aims to forge common understanding on political stability, economic reforms, investment enhancement and role of youths, the FNCCI reads. Saying peace and stability were inevitable for the economic recovery of the country, FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal said that the Federation organized the all-party national dialogue with the objective of forging a common concept for the country’s development and prosperity.

“The investment is not possible without political stability, clear policy direction and trustworthy environment,” said Dhakal, adding, “This is the reason that the FNCCI has taken this initiative to create an environment of dialogue and collaboration by bringing all the stakeholders on a single platform.” ”

Stating that the private sector was the major partner for the country’s prosperity, he opined that the economy could be given a new momentum if the energy of youths could be channelized into entrepreneurship, innovation and productive sectors.

The programme is expected to be organised by the FNCCI to build a common political line for long-term economic development by building confidence among government, politics, private sector and youths.

It has been continuously holding discussions, interactions and advocacy with the objective of maintaining peace and order in the country, creating investment-friendly environment and boosting the morale of the private sector. As a continuation of this effort, the FNCCI recently successfully concluded “National Economic Debate 2.0”.
