Banke. Nepalgunj Customs Office has collected revenue of Rs 7.65 billion in the first five months of the current fiscal year 2082/83.
Information Officer of the Office, Pabitra Kumar Khadka, said that Rs 7.65 billion revenue has been collected in the first five months.
According to him, the Nepalgunj Customs Office has not been able to achieve the target of monthly targets in any month of the current fiscal year. In the current fiscal year, 74.14 per cent of the target of Rs 1.86 billion was collected while Rs 1.38 billion was collected in August and 69.77 per cent of the target of Rs 1.93 billion was collected in August.
Similarly, 87.83 per cent of the target of Rs 1.98 billion was collected in mid-October, Rs 1.74 billion was collected from the target of Rs 2.12 billion in October, Rs 1.53 billion was collected from the target of Rs 1.96 billion and Rs 1.63 billion was collected from the target of Rs 1.96 billion in November.
According to the statistics of the office, the revenue collection in the fiscal year 2081÷82 was 73.67 per cent of the target, 66.62 per cent of the target in August, 66.91 per cent in September, 76.44 per cent in October and 76.27 per cent in November.
Goods worth Rs 30 billion have been imported through Nepalgunj border point in the first five months of the current fiscal year. Goods worth Rs 30.66 billion were imported till mid-December of the current fiscal year 2082÷83.
In the same period of the last fiscal year 2081÷82, goods worth Rs 29.08 billion were imported. Nepalgunj Customs Office has exported goods worth Rs 1.01 billion in the first five months of the current fiscal year. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, goods worth Rs 88.68 crore had been exported.
In the first five months of the current fiscal year, the Nepalgunj Customs Office has transacted a total of Rs 31.68 billion. In the same period of the previous FY, transaction was worth Rs 29.97 billion. The trade deficit from the office remained the same in the first five months of the previous fiscal year and the current fiscal year. Information Officer Khadka said that the trade deficit was 96.68 per cent in the first five months of the previous fiscal year while it was 96.68 per cent in the current fiscal year.
