Kathmandu. The surface of the under-construction Narayanghat-Butwal road section has been slippery due to cold wave. The Project Directorate of the Department of Roads has urged the commuters to use alternative routes.
The road under construction has been affected due to the sudden cold wave for the past few days. According to the project, there is a possibility of further difficulty in vehicular operation as one-way traffic is being operated due to culvert and road slope works at some places along the road.
The road users have been requested to get accurate and updated information about the road condition before travelling on the road section until the weather improves. The project has made it clear that the following alternative roads can be used in case of any obstruction in the operation of transportation along the road section.
Vehicles coming to and from the East-West Highway can go to Butwal via Narayanghat-Mugling-Pokhara-Syangja-Palpa. Similarly, Kaligandaki Chowk (Gaindakot) will pass through Rampur Pipaldanda. Similarly, vehicles going west from Kathmandu to Butwal-Kathmandu will be able to travel via Kathmandu-Mugling-Pokhara.
