According to Jitendra Yadav, chief of Pokhara Distribution Centre, the power supply will be cut off in most areas of Pokhara as the bus bar will start from 6 am to 11 am for four days.

According to the Pokhara Distribution Centre, there will be no electricity supply in all the areas from Bijayapur to Harichowk. It is also said that electricity will be restored soon if the repair work is completed before the scheduled time. According to the Pokhara Distribution Center, the substation will supply regular electricity after the maintenance of the bus bar.

Currently, the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is laying underground wires in Pokhara under the Power System Improvement Project. The work is being carried out from Pokhara International Airport to Prithvi Chowk, Srijana Chowk, Ratna Chowk, Rastra Bank Chowk, Shahid Chowk, Lakeside, Hallan Chowk to Bulaudi and Zero Kilometer.
Stating that this is the appropriate opportunity to manage the unmanaged wires that have directly adversely affected the urban beautification of Pokhara, KMC has requested the people to join the NEA’s plan and support in the wireless campaign. The work of laying the wires underground is underway in the 23-km stretch of the metropolis with the aim of completing it by July. According to Ananda Subedi, chief of Bharatpur Distribution System Improvement Project of NEA, 60 percent of the project has been completed so far.
The underground wires are being laid in the main urban areas of Pokhara and places frequented by tourists. NEA is also working to supply electricity to the homes of the customers after laying the underground wires.
