Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and senior leader of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), Jhalanath Khanal, has received his citizenship certificate from the Kathmandu District Administration Office (DAO) today.

Former prime minister Khanal’s residence was set ablaze during the Genji agitation on September 24. He had reached the District Administration Office today to retrieve the destroyed citizenship certificate.

On the occasion, a team led by Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Ishwor Poudel, handed over the citizenship certificate to former Prime Minister Khanal.
