Three arrested for fraud on the pretext of sending them to the UK

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three persons on the charge of swindling money on the pretext of sending them to the UK on the pretext of lucrative salary.

The arrestees have been identified as Indra Bahadur KC, 39, of Pyuthan Municipality-9, Aite Tamang, 40, of Thakre Rural Municipality-5, Dhading and Bijaya Gurung, 34, of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-15, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) at Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Kaji Kumar Acharya.

He said, “They were arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by seven victims that Indra and Aite had taken Rs 13 lakh from the victim and Rs 5 lakh from one victim in the promise of sending Vijay to the UK.” ”

Of them, Indra and Aite have been sent to the District Police Range, Kathmandu for necessary investigation and action, while Bijaya has been sent to the Foreign Employment Department, Tahachal, Kathmandu.
