Persa. The District Administration Office of Parsa has extended the curfew from 8 am to 1 pm today.

The administration had imposed a curfew from 6 pm on Monday till Tuesday morning. Chief District Officer of Parsa, Bhola Dahal, said that efforts are being made to find a solution to the dispute.

“The curfew order has been issued in accordance with Clause 6 (a) of the Local Administration Act, 2028 BS in the Birgunj Metropolitan City area of Parsa district prohibiting any kind of assembly, demonstration, assembly, meeting and picketing,” he said.

The local administration has issued a ban on mass meetings, meetings, rallies and sit-ins in the area of Bus Park in the east, Sirsiya Bridge in the west, Power House Chowk in the north and Shankaracharya Gate area in the south.

CDO Dahal urged the people not to go out of the house except when it is absolutely necessary as the security personnel can open fire at sight during the curfew and to go out only after coordinating with the nearby security personnel during the curfew. However, essential service vehicles will be allowed to ply during the curfew order, according to the administration.
