Bhaktapur. Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel has said that he has not taken any decision on whether to file his candidacy for the upcoming March 21.

Inaugurating the 29th establishment day of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Bhaktapur chapter here today, he said the news about him that he would contest the elections was not true.

Clarifying his media reports, Minister Kharel said, “There have been reports in the media that I will contest from a particular party, this party, this constituency or that constituency. Till date, I have not joined any party, I have not joined any party, I have not held talks, I have not said anything, I have not said anything. ”

Stating that the focus of the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sushila Karki was to hold the elections successfully, he questioned how to believe the news coming in a different way.

Stressing that journalism should maintain credibility, balance and truthfulness, he said the election is taking place on Fagun 21, which would be held in a free, fair and rigging-free manner. He also urged the stakeholders to disseminate correct, truthful and balanced information and news during the election in a credible manner.

Minister Kharel said that the role of media would be important in making the election effective, making the election fair, rigging and free, choosing the right candidates, voting in the right place and election of good leadership in the near days.

The general public stressed the need to inform the media about which party is right, which leader is right, which election symbol is right, how to cast vote properly, how to vote in the right way, what facilities are available at the polling center and everyone should go to vote.

Minister Kharel said, “Why the country could not be formed, due to whom it could not be formed, how many systems changed, Panchayat, democracy, democracy, republic, all systems changed, many people came to the system, ran the government, the prime minister, ministers, but why would the country be formed? The news media should bring news about why there should be a Genji people’s movement, dozens of people had to give up. ”

Stating that the country wants change, there should be no bleeding in the country again for change, the day of the death of Genji brothers and sisters should not come again, there should not be a situation of sacrifice again, he said that a big opportunity has come to prevent such a day from happening and a good person, good party and good leader should be brought in the leadership from the upcoming elections.

Stating that there are many media in Nepal, he said, “There are around 13,000 journalists in our country, there are only 13,000 media outlets, and there could be more than that. This should be understood deeply by the concerned authorities. ”
