Kathmandu. At least five people were killed in a road accident that took place at Sankhu Jaharsinghpauwa of Shankharapur municipality-3 in Kathmandu on Wednesday evening.
Spokesperson of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Superintendent of Police Pawan Bhattarai said that the death toll has reached five. According to him, all of them have been identified. As many as 28 people were injured in the accident.
The deceased have been identified as Kamana Sharma,49, of Kohalpur municipality-5 in Nepalgunj, Indira Limbu,51, of Pathibhara-5 in Taplejung and currently residing in Budhanilkantha-7, Shanti Gupta,55, of Siraha and currently residing in Pepsicola, Devendra Limbu of around 65, of Panchthar and Arjun Lamichhane, 60, of Jorpati, Kathmandu.
The bus (Ba 4 Kha 8788) was returning from a picnic from Nature House and Herb International Company when it met with an accident at Jaharsinghpauwa. Among the 28 injured, 23 are receiving treatment at different hospitals in Kathmandu while five have returned after treatment.
