Kathmandu. Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) in collaboration with Thapathali Engineering Campus concluded the ninth series of its monthly Mobility Dialogue. Campus Chief Dr. The main topic of the program was the production, opportunities, challenges and way forward of the completely collapsed vehicle.
In his presidential address, Campus Chief Dr. Prof. Khem Gyawali expressed his pride that Thapathali Campus has been able to organize such an important program based on industry-education collaboration after a long time. Noting that such dialogues are a real necessity for practical learning, research and collaboration with industry, he thanked NIIMA and the Automobile and Mechanical Engineering Student Innovative Nation for the program’s important initiative.
The program was attended by 200 participants and technical presentations and panel discussions. The technical presentation was facilitated by Engineer Lochan Kendra Devkota, Assistant Professor of Thapathali Campus, Shreekanta Yadav, Technical Director of Department of Transport Management, Shekhar Golchha, and Deputy Instructor of Thapathali Campus, Engineer Laxman Palikhel.
The program was welcomed by Engineer Devendra Bahadur Raut, Head of Department of Automobile and Mechanical Engineering and member of NIMA and Director of Sarada Group, Gaurav Sarada. In his speech. Stating that local production was inevitable for national development, Raut stressed on the need of stronger collaboration between academia and industry.
The program was facilitated by NIMA’s Executive Director Raj Kumar Dulal. The closing remarks were delivered by SSP Nawaraj Adhikari, Chief of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, and Yamuna Shrestha, board member of NAIMA. SSP Adhikari said that it is very important to educate drivers, traffic police and stakeholders about modern vehicle technology.
