Kathmandu. Customers coming to the casino will have to collect their details if they spend more than two lakhs.
The provision has been made by amending the directive issued by the Department of Tourism to the casino entrepreneurs, 2082. The department has stated that this provision has been made with the objective of making the transactions in the casino transparent and legal.
The Department has stated that the directive issued to casino entrepreneurs regarding money laundering and distribution of financial investment in terrorist activities will be implemented immediately.
The Department has stated that such directive has been issued in exercise of the powers given by the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2064 and Tourism Act, 2035 (with amendment).
