NC special general convention: 1327 participants register their names

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The registration of names of the general convention delegates coming to participate in the special general convention taking place at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu from today under the leadership of Nepali Congress General Secretary duo Bishwa Prakash Sharma is going on continuously.

KATHMANDU — The first day of the two-day general convention is taking place today. A total of 1,327 delegates registered their names till 1:30 pm in the registration that began at 9:00 am, according to the coordinator of the Special General Convention District Region, ‘Focal Person’ Coordination Committee, Yubaraj Pandey.

The party has set up a stall for Karnali and Sudurpaschim districts, one stall for sister organizations and sister organizations based abroad, one stall for Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur within the Kathmandu Valley and separate stalls for the remaining five provinces. The Nepali Congress has 4,743 general convention delegates across the country.

Before the inauguration of the special general convention, the participants had taken out rallies from six different places of Kathmandu. It was inaugurated at Bhrikutimanda just before the special general convention. According to coordinator Pandey, the closed session will be held at the assembly hall of Bhrikutimandap after the inaugural session of the special general convention.
