NC’s special general convention: Registration of candidates begins

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The registration process for the general convention delegates coming to participate in the special general convention taking place at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu has begun.

KATHMANDU — The first day of the two-day general convention is being organized by the Nepali Congress (NC) special general convention supporters today.TAG_OPEN_div_15

} Although it was said that the registration process would start from 8 am, the registration started only from 9 am. According to Yubaraj Pandey, coordinator of the special general convention district region’s ‘Focal Person’ Coordination Committee, the names of 1,215 people have been registered as of 12:45 pm.

The party has set up a stall for Karnali and Sudurpaschim districts, one stall for Janasamparka Samiti, sister organizations and well-wishers based abroad, one stall for Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur within the Kathmandu Valley and separate stalls for the remaining five provinces.TAG_OPEN_div_11 The Nepali Congress has 4,743 general convention delegates across the country.

The participants are preparing to take out rallies from six different places of Kathmandu before the inauguration of the special general convention.TAG_OPEN_div_9 According to the General Convention Organizing Committee, the inaugural session will begin at 1:00 pm today at Bhrikutimandap. According to coordinator Pandey, the closed session will be held at the assembly hall of Bhrikutimandap after the inaugural session of the special general convention.
