Party leaders urge party president to address closed session

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Joint General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, Farmulla Mansoor, has urged the party presidents to unite the party by attending a closed session of the party’s special convention scheduled for tomorrow.

Addressing the special general convention of the party at Bhrikutimandap today, leader Surendra Chaudhary expressed the belief that the special general convention would solve all kinds of problems seen in the party.

Party central member Mahesh Acharya said the special general convention has given a clear message that the party should run as per the statute. According to him, this convention has defeated the tendency of not listening to others in the party.

Leader Dr Chandra Bhandari said that the party leaders should take steps towards addressing the demands and issues raised by the younger generation respecting the country and people.

Another leader Binod Chaudhary said the NC should address the demands of Nepali people by listening carefully to their demands as they are waiting for political stability and economic revolution. Leader Devraj Chalis said the party’s special convention was not only related to the party’s internal life but also to the transformation of the entire country.

Leader Kedar Karki said that the democratic party and experienced leaders should be able to address the sentiment of revolt by the Genji generation saying that only the leadership class got the benefit of democracy but the people’s voice was not heard.
