National Cooperative Federation suffers loss of Rs 2.75 crore

Kathmandu. Various individuals and companies, including the directors of the National Cooperatives Federation, have not paid the advance of Rs 4,880,300.

The promoters have not paid the advance taken from the federation which had a loss of Rs 1,76,81,938 till mid-July of the last fiscal year.

The federation’s advance has increased in the last fiscal year as compared to the previous year. In the previous fiscal year, the advance was Rs 41,86,634.

The current directors are also among those receiving advance from the federation. Tek Prasad Chaulagain, a proprietor representing the Central Consumers Cooperative Association of Nepal, has received an advance of Rs 33,900.

Similarly, former board member Kul Chandra Adhikari has not cleared the advance of Rs 110,514 due last year till the end of the last fiscal year.

Similarly, Bhai Maharjan of Lalitpur has not paid Rs 2.5 lakh advance till the end of the last fiscal year. He was due to pay the same amount in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Meanwhile, Khadga Bahadur Shrestha has not paid Rs 3,98,081. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, he had not paid the advance equivalent to the same amount.

Similarly, Ram Krishna Amatya has not cleared the advance of Rs 290,600 since last year. Similarly, Dipu Khadka (diploma course) is yet to pay Rs 25,000.
