Kathmandu. Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal has stressed on the need of making the election to the House of Representatives frugal. During the meeting with the office-bearers of the Election Commission today, they stressed that the election should be held at minimum cost.

He, however, expressed his commitment to mobilize necessary resources to make the elections successful. On the occasion, the Finance Minister lauded all the office-bearers and employees of the Election Commission for focusing on the election and working round the clock for the election.

Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari said the election code of conduct would be enforced at the earliest and the Council of Ministers and high-ranking officials would be informed about it.

Commissioners Sagun Shumsher JB Rana and Janaki Kumari Tuladhar, Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut and other high-ranking officials briefed the Finance Minister about the election preparations.
