Karnali Province’s capital expenditure not even 8 percent

Surkhet. The Karnali Province government has implemented 13.74 percent of the budget in the first six months of the current fiscal year. It has spent 7.90 per cent of the budget towards capital expenditure. The government has implemented 23.83 percent of the current budget.

The government has allocated Rs 19.98 billion for development and has spent only Rs 1.TAG_OPEN_div_14 57 billion so far. A total of Rs 32.99 billion was allocated for the fiscal year 2081/82.

In the current fiscal year, the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development has allocated Rs 10.73 billion and Rs TAG_OPEN_div_10 1.08 billion has been spent so far. The Ministry of Water Resources and Energy Development is at the forefront of the budget implementation. So far, the Ministry has implemented Rs 205.99 million out of the total budget of Rs 3.55 billion.

The Ministry of Social Development has so far spent Rs 194,TAG_OPEN_div_8 43,45,992 out of Rs 2.78 billion. The Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment has spent Rs 51.802 million out of Rs 1.43 billion allocated for capital expenditure. The Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives has implemented Rs 223.3 million 833 out of the Rs 641.66 million budget allocated for the capital expenditure, said Subedi.
