Kathmandu. Ncell has partnered with the US Embassy in Nepal to organize the ‘Creators Mela’ in three cities of Nepal.

The free event will provide hands-on learning, professional connections and collaboration opportunities to a growing number of content creators in Nepal.

This year’s Creators Fair kicked off from Chitwan on Saturday. The event will then be held in Nepalgunj on January 10 and Kathmandu on January 16 and 17.

Ncell has been supporting the Creators Mela since its inception in 2023. The program aims to empower Nepali youths through content creation and contribute to the mission of Digital Nepal. Themed “Vision to Venture”, this year’s Content Creators Mela will focus on converting participants’ plans into actionable skills and real opportunities.

“We are pleased to continue working with the U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu for the Creators Fair. The Creators Mela offers budding and established creators an opportunity to sharpen their skills to create content that is relevant and impactful in this era of digital content,” said Bishakha Laxmi Khadka, Corporate Communication and Sustainability Director of Ncell. “Along with this program, we also conducted a video competition where registered participants can showcase their skills and win prizes. ”

Targeted at students and budding creators who are still in the learning stage, the program will inspire creators to refine their content, make it credible, and create a sustainable and creative business future.

Mike Harker, Chief of Public Affairs at the US Embassy in Nepal, said that the Creators Fair reflects the USA’s commitment to help strengthen Nepal’s economy through creative activities. “We are promoting entrepreneurship and job creation by expanding knowledge, skills and networks throughout the country. We want to prepare Nepali creators not only to limit their impact locally but also to U.S. business partners and global markets, fostering deeper economic connections and shared prosperity.”

Ncell also organized a video contest on the occasion of the Ncell Video Contest where participants were encouraged to upload their 1-minute video in their Instagram and TikTok. Creators should create videos focusing on the topic ‘How Ncell 4G is Making Your Life Easier’. Contestants will have to upload the video by tagging Ncell and also hashtagging their participating city.

A winner will be selected in each city and they will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000. In addition, the winning contestants will also get an opportunity to participate in various activities of Ncell Foundation in the coming days.

Since its launch in 2023, the program has so far attracted more than 5,000 creators. The event will provide an opportunity for creators from different parts of the country to learn from professionals who are working professionally, connect with peers who are doing similar work, and interact with experts who are passionate about professionalizing content creation.

There will be different sessions at the fair. The Creators Fair will feature a spotlight session focusing on a topic or person, panel discussions and serious discussions on various topics. The program will also analyze the journey of established content creators from different angles. From content created by established creators to presentations, viewership growth, creator recognition and visibility to journey to impact and long-term commercial growth will also be covered in the program.
