Kathmandu. Pokhara—Coordinator of Save Citizens Mega Campaign and medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai has been arrested from Pokhara.

After Prasai’s recent statement, the Election Commission had written to the Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police and the District Police Range, Kathmandu to investigate and take action against Prasai.

The commission sent a letter to both the agencies on Sunday. According to Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, spokesperson of Kathmandu District Police Range, Prasai was arrested from Pokhara for investigation.

According to him, Prasai will be brought to Kathmandu today itself.

Prasai had released a video accusing the party of paying Rs 52 crore to the EC during the special general convention of the Nepali Congress.

Bhattarai said that Prasain should be punished for election-related offences and under the Civil Criminal Code.
