Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) leader loses candidacy for 164 seats

Kathmandu. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has registered its candidacy in 164 constituencies across the country under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) category.

The candidacy of Anil Gurung of Manang from Rastriya Janata Party (RSP) has not been registered yet. The party has filed its candidacies in all the constituencies except Manang.

Biraj Bhakta Shrestha said that the registration of the candidate of RSP Manang might have been missed due to confusion on the way.

Around 8 per cent of the candidates in the election are women.

Nisha Dangi in Jhapa constituency 1, Indira Rana in Jhapa 2, Asha Jha in Morang-5, Rubina Acharya in Morang-6, Sarin (Goma Tamang) in Sunsari-1, Bina Gurung in Kaski-3, Binita Kathayat in Jumla-1, Tashi Lama in Humla-1, Komal Gyawali in Kailali-1, Ashika Tamang in Dhading-1 and Ranju Darshana in Kathmandu-1. Toshima Karki and Sobita Gautam have filed their candidacies for Lalitpur-3 and Chitwan-3 respectively.

Likewise, Pushpa Chaudhary from Saptari-1, Gauri Kumari Yadav from Mahottari-4 and Niti Karki from Sarlahi-1 also filed their nominations.
